1. Acceptance of Terms

By using HackerBadges, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use our service.

2. Service Description

HackerBadges provides tools for creating and sharing visual milestone badges:

• Badge Generator: Create custom milestone badges for free
• Connect: Connect payment platforms (Stripe, LemonSqueezy, Polar) to auto-generate verified badges when you hit revenue milestones
• Sharing: Share and embed your badges on social media, websites, and READMEs

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Be truthful: Only create badges for achievements you've actually earned
• Respect others: Don't impersonate others or create offensive content
• No abuse: Don't spam, automate, or abuse our service
• Own your content: You're responsible for the badges you create
• Secure your credentials: Keep your API keys and account access secure

4. Connect Feature (Paid)

The Connect feature allows integration with payment platforms:

• Free Trial: 7-day free trial with full access to all integrations
• Pricing: $19 one-time payment for lifetime access
• No Refunds: Since we offer a 7-day free trial, we do not offer refunds after purchase. You can fully test the service before paying.
• Data Access: When you connect a platform, we access read-only data (revenue, customers) to generate verified badges
• Syncing: Data syncs automatically every 4 hours

5. Intellectual Property

• You own the content of your badges (your milestones, achievements)
• We own the HackerBadges brand, designs, and code
• By publishing a badge, you grant us permission to display and distribute it

6. Promotional Features

We offer paid promotional features (Featured Products, Badge Promotion). These are non-refundable once activated. We reserve the right to remove promotional content that violates our terms.

7. Disclaimer

HackerBadges is provided "as is" without warranties. We don't guarantee:

• 100% uptime or availability
• That badges will remain available forever
• Accuracy of data fetched from connected platforms
• Uninterrupted syncing with payment platforms

8. Limitation of Liability

We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of HackerBadges, including but not limited to data loss, revenue calculation errors, or service interruptions. Use the service at your own risk.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to HackerBadges at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these terms. You may disconnect your payment platform integrations at any time.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
